Role Overview: Content Moderation

Wipro is conducting a mega walk-in drive to hire experienced candidates for the position of Content Moderator. This role involves reviewing and moderating online content, ensuring it aligns with platform policies and community standards. Content Moderators act as digital gatekeepers, identifying inappropriate, offensive, or policy-violating content before it reaches users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Review: Evaluate and moderate user-generated content (UGC) across various platforms to ensure compliance with community guidelines and content policies.

  • Decision Making: Take timely and informed decisions regarding content visibility, flagging offensive material, and escalating sensitive cases to senior moderators or supervisors.

  • Policy Adherence: Understand and apply content policies, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all reviews.

  • Emotional Resilience: View and handle sensitive content with maturity and professionalism. Must be emotionally strong to manage exposure to disturbing material.

  • Quality & Productivity: Meet expected benchmarks in content moderation targets, including accuracy, turnaround time, and volume.

  • Communication: Work closely with teams and supervisors to report issues, raise queries, and suggest policy improvements when necessary.

  • Shift Management: Be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Clear communication and comprehension are essential for this role.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong observational and analytical skills to assess content thoroughly and accurately.

  • Emotional Maturity: Should be capable of handling graphic, violent, or disturbing content with discretion and responsibility.

  • Logical Reasoning: Ability to evaluate complex content within a defined framework and make appropriate judgments.

  • Digital Literacy: Familiarity with online platforms, social media, and internet navigation. Comfort in working with digital tools and moderation dashboards.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle ambiguity and make independent decisions within the policy framework.

  • Adaptability: Must be flexible to handle different types of content and adjust to changes in workflow or content policy.

  • Professionalism: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to delivering high-quality output.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year and up to 4 years in content moderation or a related domain.

  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline is mandatory. Candidates must possess a valid Provisional Certificate (PC) and Consolidated Marks Memo (CMM) issued by their university.

  • Document Requirements: Candidates must present all employment documentation including:

    • Updated resume

    • Passport-size photograph (recent, taken within 6 months)

    • Original Aadhaar card with updated photo

    • Last 3 months' payslips from current/previous employer(s)

    • Offer and experience letters from all previous organizations

    • Graduation/PG certificates and mark sheets (PC & CMM mandatory)

  • Other Conditions:

    • Only candidates who can join immediately should apply.

    • The job is strictly work from office; remote work options are not available.

    • Candidates pursuing graduation or post-graduation (in any mode) are not eligible.

    • All work experience must be documented – informal or freelance moderation experience without documents will not be considered.
