Responsibilities include:
Book-keeping and Accounting of Holding Company transactions and individual vessel owning SPV’s.Liaise with Ship Managers, internal departments to ensure timely updating and recording of OPEX, Dry-docking and related activities.
Periodic review of General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Intercompany reconciliations, and initiate follow-up action when required.
Ensure Compliance and Legal Requirements of Holding and SPV’s including renewal/update of licenses/approvals, statutory filings etc.
Prepare interim/year-end closing and management reports.
Assist in Group consolidation, Reporting and ad hoc assignments.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / ACCA/ or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting/Financial Reporting with at least 3 years in a Managerial Accounting role
Knowledge & Experience in Ship accounting, Financial Reporting and OPEX Management.
Proficiency with accounting software – ERP applications and excellent presentation, analytical skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
Knowledge of UAE Taxation and familiar with statutory filing/requirements of Maritime Freezone authorities in UAE.
Mature, self-motivated, team player, deadline-driven and can work under pressure.
