SEWA is a movement dedicated to the economic empowerment and self-reliance of women workers in the informal economy. With a presence in 18 states and over 2.5 million women members, SEWA focuses on fostering grassroots movements to uplift and support women in various sectors.
SEWA Cooperative Federation:
SEWA Cooperative Federation works to support women’s cooperatives and collective enterprises across different sectors, providing them with essential services and guidance. The organization promotes innovation, viability, and scalability, reaching around 300,000 informal women workers in areas such as agriculture, dairy, handicrafts, services, social security, finance, and labor-based activities.
Position:
Social Media Associate
Qualification & Experience:
Graduation/Post Graduation in marketing, journalism, or relevant experience.
2+ years in a communications role, with direct experience in managing social media.
Skills:
Strong understanding of trends on various social media platforms.
Creative ability to visualize and create exceptional content.
Proficiency in content strategy and planning.
Writing and design skills are mandatory.
Ability to monitor SEO, web traffic metrics, and social media analytics.
Prior knowledge and experience in managing Insta and Facebook ads, familiarity with ads manager.
Responsibilities:
Manage organization’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn pages from planning to content creation.
Visualize, design, and package content for social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
Monitor engagement, analyze data based on analytics, and plan ad campaigns.
Strategize to increase engagement and run campaigns across all platforms.
Capture photos, videos, and stories from the field for content creation.
Write copy and design engaging social media posts for various channels.
Create reports on monthly targets vs. achievements.
Develop processes and SOPs for each platform.
Train and build capacity in social media management within the team.
Collaborate with women’s collective enterprises, document their stories of change and impact.
Contribute to executing events and other organizational communications needs.

Result-oriented and willing to travel.
